Who are The Rennsport Collective?
The Rennsport Collective is not a club. It doesn’t have a headquarters. There are no joining fees or subscription packages. It’s a movement, a coalition, a belief in and an enthusiasm for Porsche’s motor racing exploits – an enthusiasm that has led each member to the purchase of a motorsport-inspired car manufactured by Porsche.
July saw the inaugural gathering of The Rennsport Collective come to life. One day pounding around Donington Park on an unrestricted private trackday; and a second day for the public to see this curated collection of cars at Donington Hall. If you came to the event, thank you for your support – if not, please take a look at the two image galleries to see what you missed. Hopefully you will join us for the second event in 2020. Yes, feedback has been overwhelming so we will do this again.
Well that was a challenge. Our initial Summer date in August was postponed due to Covid 19, with a new date set in November. Not the ideal month to host an outdoor event, but we knew the Porsche fraternity were a hardy bunch! And so they were – numbers were up on 2019 despite the raft of restrictions placed upon us. All the European and further afield cars couldn’t come but we still managed to curate a special collection of cars. The weather wasn’t too bad either.
Covid 19 has not exactly gone away, far from it, but with vaccinations going well and the entire population wanting a shred of normality to return, we are now deep in to planning the 2021 event. We are hopeful our European friends can come and we have some very special cars lined up again. We are going to be releasing details on the event very soon. Please keep an eye on this website and our Instagram feed for more details.
